Q’vive and Schoolcraft celebrate partnership with tenth consecutive
Project Management Essentials and Exam Preparation course.
WIXOM, MI—January 8, 2014—Schoolcraft College’s Continuing Education and Professional Development department continues its successful partnership with Q'vive, a local leader in innovation strategy and training. The Project Management Essentials and Exam Preparation course, scheduled to begin at 6 PM on January 23, marks the tenth consecutive semester of the partnership.
“It is exiting and encouraging to realize that our partnership with Schoolcraft College is entering its tenth semester. In the past three years we have trained 220+ students in project management. The overwhelming majority of those taking the PMP or CAPM exam are passing”, says Eric van der Meulen, President of Q'vive.
The Project Management Institute published the new PMBOK® Guide–Fifth Edition in 2013. The Project Management Essentials and Exam Preparation course (Thursday January 23 - April 3 from 6 PM to 9:40 PM) is aligned with the new PMBOK® Guide–Fifth Edition.
Potential students are invited to attend a free informational session on Thursday, January 9 from 6 to 7:30 PM in the McDowell Center, Room 110, at Schoolcraft College in Livonia.
According to the Project Management Institute, there are more than 600,000 PMI credential holders around the world and in every industry, from healthcare, telecommunications and finance to IT and construction. More and more project management related jobs in today's world require PMP® certification; and in today's competitive job market, becoming PMP® certified may significantly increase the chances of getting a job. According to a 2007 PricewaterhouseCoopers survey, 80% of high-performing projects use a credentialed project manager.
